- Arrival Los Angeles • Departure Miami
- Day 1: Europe / Los Angeles
Rendezvous at airport. Assistance with check-in and flight to California. Arrival in Los Angeles where you will meet your French-speaking guide. Transfer to hotel in minibus and check-in at hotel.
- Day 2: Los Angeles / Palm Springs (260km)
After picking up your bike, you’ll head off for a city tour of Los Angeles. Then you’ll hit the road for Palm Springs crossing the Mojave Desert and stopping off at the famous Palm Springs Oasis. Night in Palm Springs.
- Day 3: Palm Springs / Phoenix (425km)
Today your ride will take you through vast expanses of desert. At the border of California and Arizona you’ll cross the Colorado River and pass the Quartzsite mines, to arrive later in Valley of the Sun and the capital of Arizona: Phoenix.
- Day 4: Phoenix / Tucson (200km)
Surrounded by mountains reaching 2,000 meters in height, Phoenix is the sixth largest city in the USA and enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year. You’ll start the day with a city tour, before leaving for Tucson where you can visit the Davis-Montan Air Force Base. Thousands of civilian and military aircraft are kept here, including some famous U.S. Air Force fighters and bombers.
- Day 5: Tucson / El Paso (510km)
You’ll ride through the desert in Cochise Country to Benson, entering southern New Mexico, with a visit to Shakespeare Ghost Town, one of the stops for the famous Pony Express. Later you’ll cross the Chihuahuan Desert towards Las Cruces in the agricultural region of Rio Grande, before following the Organ Mountains to El Paso, Texas on the Mexican border.
- Day 6: El Paso / Ft Stockton (500km)
El Paso and Cuidad Juarez (on the other side of the Mexican border) have a combined population of 2 million, two thirds of which lives on the Mexican side. You’ll follow the Mexican border to Fort Hancock, where you’ll turn south-east along the US 90 towards Van Horn and Marfa. After Alpine, you’ll take the US 385 to Fort Stockton where you’ll spend the night.
- Day 7: Ft Stockton / San Antonio (540km)
The day starts with a ride on US 285 through ranch land to Seminole Canyon State Park, then you’ll get on the US 90 towards Amistad National Recreational Area in the Del Rio region, driving past Alamo Village which was built for the movie Alamo, starring John Wayne). Some of the farmers living on ranches near Hondo in Medina country are descendents of immigrants from Alsace-Lorraine. You’ll stay the night in the well-known town of Fort Alamo.
- Day 8: San Antonio / Houston (390km)
Morning ride through San Antonio, before hitting the US 87 to Victoria, which was founded by Cavalier De la Salle for King Louis XIV. We’ll cross the Texan oil region towards Edna, before continuing our journey to Houston, the biggest city in Texas and home to NASA.
- Day 9: Houston / New Orleans (630km)
After a quick city tour of Houston, you’ll set off towards the state of Louisiana, stopping off in Morganza (featured in Easy Rider) just north of Baton Rouge, the state capital. The next part of the ride will take you to New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz where you’ll check in to a hotel for two nights’ well-earned rest.
- Day 10: New Orleans
Tour of New Orleans (French Quarter, Riverwalk, St Charles Avenue, City Park Garden District, Esplanade Avenue and Louis Armstrong Park, etc…) after which you’ll spend the day in the ‘Big Easy’. Free evening to explore the French Quarter and its musical melting pot.
- Day 11: New Orleans / Panama City (490km)
You’ll set off on the US 90 which goes through several villages on the Gulf of Mexico coast (Bay St Louis, Gulfport and Biloxi) and the forests of the Mississippi. In Mobile, Alabama, you can stop off to see the USS Alabama and the USS DRUM submarine which were used in combat in WW2. Carrying on down the US 90, you’ll get to Pensacola in Florida, The scenery starts to change on the ride to Destin, and the road will take you along deserted fine sandy beaches. Night in Panama City.
- Day 12: Panama City / Steinhatchee (330km)
You’ll set off across the north coast of Florida, with its numerous fishing villages towards Steinhatchee on the west coast, where you will spend the night.
- Day 13: Steinhatchee / Punta Gorda (430km)
Once you’re in your saddles, you’ll head off towards Tampa, and then your journey will take you south along the coast to St Petersburg, home to the biggest Salvador Dali museum in the world. After a ride to Sarasota, you’ll get to the bay of Punta Gorda where you will spend the night.
- Day 14: Punta Gorda / Miami (280km)
After riding to Sanibel Island, the US 41 will take you south towards Naples and then to the northern part of Florida’s Seminole Native American territory. After that you’ll take an airboat trip in the Everglades (where you will discover an incredible world of unique plant and animal life). Arrival in Miami where you’ll leave your bikes and spend the night.
- Day 15: Miami / Departure
Transfer to airport and assistance with check-in. Overnight flight home with dinner on board.
- Day 16: Europe
Arrival in Europe. End of our services. We look forward to seeing you again soon for new adventures !!!
